1st night trip of the year

I went last night for the 1st time this year. Caught 12 really fast and they just stopped. Don't understand why that happens. The action was fast, then it was gone. All on minners 12 feet deep. Water temp was 74. Better luck next time.

Could have followed the prey fish they were feeding on to a different location. I have experienced the same thing fishing from the bank at night as the shad would move through the bite would be on then they were gone agian. Sometimes the shad will swim back through and you will get another shot at them. Still sounds like you got a decent mess of fish.
