Weiss 4-11-15

Fished upper part of Weiss yesterday! Fish scattered with 72 degree water only one fish had eggs all others skinny spawned out! Long line trolled with 1-24 th heads had 43 only 10 that were 10" or better with 2 out standing fish one 1.78 the other 1.10 . All caught on home made jigs! Water has really came up! Docks produced one dandy fish but none shooting the fish were in brush around docks. Found most right on the old creek ledge at 4' of water the fish were 2.5-3' wind helped with speed if boat was running 1.1 they'd get it! A black with red metal flake creature bait with chart. Tail put on a clinic! Blue/monkey milk swim bait caugh the monster! Can't count how many with mouth open measure but with mouth closed wouldn't ! Good day for a weekend fisherman! Later LB

Don't really know what is going on at Weiss. Not a whole lot of fish on upper end. Lots of fish on the lower end. I marked a lot of fish in 15 to 20 feet of water sat. Bite was slow. Iguess that little weather change gave them shut mouth. The wind that incidently was supposed to be 5 to 10 turned into 25. Forced me into big nose creek. Ended with 19 keepers. Most full of eggs. Its a funny year. My white dogwoods are just getting to full bloom a lot of fish should be moving shallow

I started to go to big noise, but had limited time stayed in my creek, will be down there soon to start shooting docks! I have several new profile baits that I think will skip real good!

Nice glad you got on them. Did you get to use those baits you posted a couple of days ago. They looked great.

Yes I tested new baits all morning.. For some reason they wanted the black chartreuse creature bait. They all caught fish...when the fish kept biting the blk chart. Swapped them all to it
