Default Where have all the crappie gone?

Fished South Sauty this morning and NOTHING. Talked with a couple of other boats pulling out when I loaded up and they had no luck either. Water temp was 64F, winds out of South West at about 5mph+. What's going on? Is the spawn late this year? I saw just a few fish on depth finder hanging out in deep water, but who's knows if they are crappie? I caught two small bream and one small bass, apparently the bream were bedding. And it didn't seem the milfoil was growing either. Did TVA spray South Sauty? I can't figure this out - usually by this time of year (judging from the past 2 years) the crappie should be in the tree tops by now.

I am still finding fish on structure holding six feet deep in 12' FOW. Marked one large stump with close to 40,fish on it. Got two back to back bites and then they shut down again. Lots of Boat traffic with Bass Masters in town.

I went this morning and got 1 bite right at the boat and missed it. Fished deep, shallow and everything in between for another hour and never got another bite. Left the dock at 10AM headed home skunked.
