The colors I use on Lake Gundersville are Electric Chicken, Blue Grass, Blue Ice, Monkey Milk, ButterBelly Shad, Chartreuse/ Bone White, Baby Craw. These are all Bobby Garland colors, but it may give you something to go on.

My son was just informed at work that he will be going to McCalla Alabama. Has to solve some conveyor belt problems that his company is having . He lives in Nebraska, I live in Ohio so I don't know squat about fishing in Alabama.
What I do know is he wants me to tie some of my jigs up for this trip for him. Matter of fact he is overnighting his jig box to me for a fill up. I tie a wide variety of jigs mostly for panfish.
Looking for a name of Lake or river to try while he is there. Doubt he will have too much time to fish. But he is anxious to at least try to get a line wet. If you could tell me a couple of jig patterns and color combo's . That would help me in filling his jig box back up.

The love for fishing is one of the best gifts you can pass along
HE will be in an area kind of void of big lakes. If he can travel a bit Martin is E of Birmingham and there is a decent lake north of Tuscaloosa.
Logan Martin Lake.

My wife lets me buy all the rods and reels I can hide.
He will probably be closest to the Warrior river. Bankhead reservoir and Holt Lake are the two lakes on the warrior closest to McCalla. I wish i could help you as far as colors and patterns. If he talks to some folks around that area they may put him onto some strip mine ponds or farm ponds that could be more productive.
When is he coming? I'll take him if he wants to go and I'm off work. Black and chartreuse is my favorite around here popsicle works too
