Had first trip to Weiss last week. Fished Sunday through Thursday. Have to throw out a big thanks to Coach. AKA "FootballCoach" on this forum. Met us first day and fished with us that Sunday afternoon in the rain. Really shortened my learning curve for both the lake and longlining. Cant thank him enough for taking us under his wing and making sure our 600 mile drive (each way) resulted in a good trip. I made a great friend in the process. Good guy to reach out to if your in need of help/services. From both Nolan and I....Thank you Coach !

Loved Weiss..first time that far South with my big walleye boat. Steady pick of fish all week fishing mostly Yellow Creek. Shorts, sun, flipflops a welcome change over the snow/cold way up North here. Cycled through a lot of short fish to get decent bucket of keepers but the constant action was higher priority for us than filling the freezer. Although we made progress on our haul as the week progressed and the more we learned.
Really liked Little River Marina. Great docks, ramps, tackle, food, and rooms. I can see it being a neat place to be all year, but the time we were there it was all about fishing and we were in the right place !!!
Coach, Lee Pitts, Bill the owner and others around Little River treated us from day one like we've been friends for years. I was set back. I thought this would be a one time deal. Usually do Spring Break in Florida with family. But now I cant wait to get back due to both Weiss and mostly the people I have mentioned.
Never would I have imagined that a Yank like me would show up and been treated and welcomed like that.
Thank you everyone and see you all next March.

Steve and Nolan from Siberia (actually top of Indiana but feels like Siberia).
