You are right. This is Alabama's first event like this one. I tried back in 04,05 to get Bama involved when we held the first one in Ga. Only 8 groups turned out for our first one but they grew from there. The last one I helped put on had around 100 people attend. They are still doing one a year that has a good turnout each year. In fact theirs is this week. From that group a few wanted one on TALQUIN in fla. It has large crowds now.
These will grow. Maybe not as fast as we did in Ga. For years it was hard to just get an answer to a post on this forum. Not many people would comment. I believe we will have members show up but never say they are coming.. Some will decide on the day to leave according to weather and other factors. All those that do attend will have a great time and take home memories for a lifetime.
The wife and I plan on coming on Saturday to see weigh in and hang around for the food. Will bring a desert. My shirt size is large, thanks.

Thanks Slab. Found that a long time ago and haven't found anything else that says it any better.
