    Default Elk River crappie?

I don't ever hear anybody talkin bout catching any crappie from Elk River (Athens). I have fished there a good bit as a kid but only remember catching a hand full or hearing of anyone else that did. Its good size river and has lots of cover. Anyone have any thoughts or catching any?

there are crappie there in good numbers. Anderson Creek and all the west side sloughs downstream from it usually have good numbers in them. catching them is another matter though as Ive not found them doing the same thing 2 days in a row..........Lots of folks fish further upstream near sportsmans park.
