Actually there is a fight with Bass pro and Cabela's which is trying to build in Huntsville with law suits being filed by bass pro to stop Cabela's planned store as they wanted the Huntsville site or thought they had dibs on Huntsville first. Maybe they have decided to be content with building in Decatur. If we get both them this close together then its win win for us fishermen as far as not having to pay shipping HA.
I haven't heard about the Cabelas, but it would be great also.

Bass Pro had actually planned to build in Decatur several years back but put it on hold when they economy went bad. They had to get some approvals or something from Decatur to or something like that. It has been in the works for a while.

The Cabelas announcement came back in June this past year and the construction/ground breaking is going on right now.HUNTSVILLE, Alabama – Cabela's announced today June 4th 2014 it will open its first Alabama store in Huntsville. The hunting, fishing and outdoor gear retailer says it will begin construction this fall on a new 80,000-square-foot store at the planned Parkside Town Centre development near the intersection of Interstate 565 and 255 at Governors West Road.
The retailer, which expects to open in fall 2015, will employ up to 180 full- and part-time workers. A news release said employees will be recruited from the Huntsville and surrounding areas. Maybe Ditchbasser can retire and become the head yak salesman(grin)
That is one of the down sides
