    Default Scottsboro report 9-23

caught 18 keepers between 11:30 and 1 yesterday fishing from the bank. fish were suspended on a sunken tree 6 ft deep in 10-11 ft of water. Silver and chartreuse tubes on 1/32 oz jigs were the ticket.

Riverboss, did you manage to get a temp of the water? Just wondering if these cooler nights this week started to pull the temp down at all. Going to try and get out this Friday and see if I can find some fish. That's an awesome catch for only 1 1/2 hrs of time on the water, congrats!!!

don't know what the water temp is/was. I do know that fish can be caught at that same place almost every day of the year.

there are several places in the Scottsboro area that produce regularly for bank fisherman. they are heavily pressured but if you get there first, or late after the rush as I did, there will be crappie. if the bait fish are there , there will be lots of crappie. Ive caught them in July as if it was March.

I've done well in Roseberry in the spring, just not from the bank.
