Logan Martin
After not doing good on Neely Henry last week we decided to try Logan Martin on Monday. I was told Saturday that fishing on Logan Martin was not good at all. We fished from 6:30-2:00 and found water temps from 86-87 degrees. We started out catching fish at 14 feet around a large hump then moved to another area where there was another large hump but could not get any fish to bite at 14 feet so we dropped off the ledge and found a good school of fish at 21 feet and caught some there. We finished the day with 11 crappie and lost 4 more before getting them in the boat. Also caught 4 bass, one of them was 4 1/2 pounds. Also caught 15 catfish and 2 of them were 5-6 pounds. It was an enjoyable day with nice weather and a great fishing partner.

Good report Roger. Still out of action and will be traveling next week. I did manage to schedule a charter to chase some Bull Reds in Myrtle Beach next Tuesday for half a day so I guess I have that going for me. Still dying to get back after some crappie.

BAMA S, you're the first one I've heard that has found some off a pier lately. How deep were they and what kind of jigs were you throwing?

We fished Logan Martin again today and it was not so kind to us this time. We fished from 8:30-1:30. Found water temps 81-84. Could not find fish that were willing to bite. Only caught 4 crappie and a couple of bass and cats.

It should start getting better with this weather cooling down. I may try to go at the end of the week. Have been working on livewell pumps the last two days, finished up today also had to change right trailer tire found cords showing in old tire.If I don.t get to go soon it may be a while. Nice report though glad you got to go.
