Kayak Trip Report, Garth Slough

I fished Garth Slough today, found Crappie scattered on schools of shad. Best bait was the White 1/16oz Marabou jig again, spider rigging 6 poles down about 18 inches in three to four feet of water.

Water was 86 degrees on the surface.

I tried Garth Slough again this morning, but wasn’t as successful. Schools of shad were everywhere, but there were few Crappie to be found. Best bait was the White 1/16oz Marabou jig. I spider rigging 6 poles down about three to four feet.
