Kayak Trip Report, Lilly Pond

I fished Lilly Pond today with alexava. I never got on the fish with only three Crappie caught and a couple more missed. Alexava schooled me today ending with a dozen or so keepers. We were fishing jigs in two to three feet of water spider rigging.

Well, a blind squirrel does occasionally find a nut. I almost skunked DB and he insisted i brag about it. I think he gets tired of me complaining about him wearing me out. We only fished about 4 hours but it was a nice calm morning for it. I hope to do much more as the temps drop. Fall is by far my favorite time of the year, not just for fishing but being outside for anything(and football).

Without the pictures no one is going to believe you almost skunked DB.....if you are going to brag do it right with pictures. Besides I am working 7 days a week right now and can only think about getting out need some pictures to keep me going. Is Lilly Pond deep enough to launch a big flat bottom in right now...with 40 hp..I know I would have to run it with a trolling motor. Hoping I might get Sunday off and slip out Sunday after Church.

It's been a long time coming and there's not a better kayak angler for Crappie in this area so I was happy to take the beating, LOL.

Ditch,,had to order pink heads on the white maribous.white on white outa stock,,,educate me on how deep to run in 2-3 ft of water,,guessing a ft or so?
