I was out at Limestone Bay this afternoon (Aug.2) and got caught in a white-out of a rainstorm. Seriously, it was coming down so hard I couldn't see more than 50 yards in front of me. The wind had the rain blowing sideways, and the waves where white-capping at about 2+feet. I knew I might get a little rain, but did not expect it to be so epic. Fortunately there was no lightning. I was fishing the northeast end--I put in at the WMA corn & cotton fields off Pryor Rd. I hugged the bank for about 30 minutes until it subsided. It turned out to be beautiful after that, and the water was like glass. I had 10 Fish-a-noodles out and recovered 8 of them along the shore after the storm. But for the life of me I couldn't locate 2 of them. I spent about 3 more hours looking for them. Losing them isn't what bothers me, it's that I feel like a litter-bug. I've never left any noodles behind... I hate being "that guy." If you happen to find them, they are the Walmart brand noodles, with the metal insert/handle, glow-in-the-dark caps, 4ft of white nylon cord, Eagle Claw circle hooks, with about 10 inches of fishing line attached to a half-ounce weight. Please inbox me if you find them, I'll owe you a six pack.....
Sorry,
-Lee
