Default Weiss night fishing under lights

Anyone ever have any luck fishing under lights at Weiss this time of year? Coming down from Kentucky on June 16th for about a week. My father in law is in very bad health and doesn't have much longer. I don't think he can fish in the heat of the day and was going to try to take him out at night and fish under some floating lights. Should I target any specific areas or parts of the lake for this kinda fishing? Any pointers appreciated, thanks

Spring creek, or Cowen creek bridges or the river channel.

I don't know about Weiss but on Smith this time of year they kind of die off in the dead of night. The best bite is from 4-8 in the morning after a light has been on all night. A light over cover seems to produce better also, of course. We call it the breakfast bite. We sit all night a lot of the time, just to get away, but we really look forward to that breakfast feast. We usually pick a few up right after night fall then barely a bite from around 10-4. But hold on to your rod from 4-8. A month ago a friend and myself was having 3 and 4 on at a time fishing one pole and one rod each.

    Good luck. God bless.

Ended up fishing the deepest water we could find near a channel. Fished 2 different nights. 1st night caught around 60 with 12 keepers. Next night caught around 120 with 10 keepers. I bet we caught 90 between and 9 1/2 inches. Had a blast though !!
