Another Neely Henry Report
Went back this morning and took my wife/fishing partner and our red headed daughter and we fished 5 hours and caught 64 crappie from 1 area about 50 yards long. The fish today were much better size and we could have weighed in 7 for a tournament that weighed 9 lbs. The ladies had a blast. I sorta did too. The area we fished was the top of a ledge next to the river channel. Water temps same at 78-80. Fish were caught today from 10-12 feet deep. The fish were caught on minnows and on every color jig we tried tipped with minnows while spider rigging.

Fished Neely Henry again today by myself. Caught 40 spider rigging river channel ledges. Fish today were caught from 10-20 feet deep. Water temps 78-80.

After going down to my man cave and finding that my fridge/freezer had died, I will have to get out there and start over. Had to feed the coyotes, possums, and coons about 75-100 fillets this afternoon. Going to Neely Wednesday and taking my Father for a while in the first half of the day. Thank you for the report.

Paul I am sorry to hear that. I have had that happen also. The best bite has been early, from day light till about 11:00. Yesterday I only caught 1 fish after 11:30. Try to find cover on the river channel ledges or humps next to river channel with cover. The 3 trips I have been, I fished totally different areas each time so the fish are biting if you can find them. Good luck and be safe and give us a report on the great day you are going to have.

I plan on launching at Hwy 77. I appreciate the offer but don't make a special trip unless it is part of the retirement program. My Dad is 85 so we probably won't be there at the crack o dawn. Thank you for the guidance on where to look. Probably do my usual spot at some time of the trip.
