    Default GuntersvilleTown Creek area tomorrow

After work today I drove up to get a look at the water and it's a little muddy but I'm gonna go try a couple of places in the morning. I honestly don't have any expectations one way or the other after all the rain so it'll be enjoyment of an outing on the water if nothing else. Might even get to see a Bald Eagle catch a fish like last Sunday.

Good luck. I fished South Sauty today and it was tough. I had high hopes with the calm water and cloudy skies this morning, but only managed 4 crappie; 1 every 90 minutes or so. Didn't really mark any fish, and could only catch one fish off any spot. Also caught 4 bluegill, a 5 lb bass, 6-7 lb blue cat and a 3 lb channel cat. For about an hour, I was in a school of bass that were smashing a school of shad, but that was the highlight of the day. Disappointing day as far as crappie are concerned.

Don't fell like you are all alone, I fished the G on Thursday form 7 til around 2 and only caught 4 crappie, I'm loosing it on Gville can't figure it out. Fish were caught in spawning area's in the back of a creek in 3 feet deep on small jigs. It took all day to get them. They were black crappie and have spawned out I guess they were guarding fry. I did pick up several blue gills nice ones and a couple of shell crackers just scarred all around no concentration but good ones here and there. The brim are getting ready to spawn. This has been one tough year to crappie fish on Gville. I wish I had a good report but I'm lost. Any help sent my way would be good. I'm thinking about starting to bass and brim fish and forget about the crappie.
