GO BIG ORANGE !
I meant to behave, but there were just way too many other options available at the time.
2 j-bolts secured to pad eyes under front of 1x6 treated, then 2small turnbuckles with steel wire back to next set of padeyes toward stern,,sculpted 1x6 with bandsaw so my feet could rest against it steada unner it,,in case of the inevitable turtle situation,,,rod holders came with lil y bases,,dry wall screws into 1x6,,,so far so good,,,far enuff forward doesn't interfere with paddle stroke,,,yet I can reach rods and depthfinder....
Dead mouse and all I'd call it a good day on the water.
Wishing you Blue Skies and Tight Lines
cool set up (except for the toes)
Looks real comfortable, sounds like a good trip.
