I forgot we found the fish in this one area and were shallow 3'9" Dow ... 1/32-1/24 heads at .9-1.0. Then after wind died .7-.8 worked..several colors worked, Weiss killer Charlie Brewer sliders. Blue, chart....I was always fooling with head colors and mixing a home made Hal fly in the mix of jigs pulled.A pm here offered color combos to try! The orange glow..head blk body chart. tail was the one they really wanted! Don't think the long troll is going to last much longer...maybe as they start the recover from the spawn I can catch them suspended...a little longer...the water level is still really low...hopefully as the water comes up...the dock shooting will get on! Looking forward to that! Pink heads worked too. This day head color was a big factor.

Hey Robby, had a great trip with you all there on Weiss Saturday morning. That hand tied fly of yours was doing great in that colored water. I thought the Chartreuse head with jelly blue and chartreuse tail was putting the majority of keepers in the boat though. With all the short fish caught, the fishery is in good shape for coming years! After buying a few of those flies, I managed a real nice one up on Guntersville that evening with CS. Thanks again for a great trip and I look forward to shooting some docks once they get ther.
