My Father and I are planning our 1st trip of the year to the Big G on Fri./Sat., 3/28-29. I have had a lot of success in the past long lining around sunken structure at 11-17 FOW and around docks as shallow as 3-4 FOW in the area we will be fishing but from most of what I have been reading the crappie bite seems to be slow on The G. Between now and the 28th (1.5 weeks) is the water expected to raise or warm up much? Do you know if the current should be moving well? Do you think the fish will be moving shallow, on bed by then? What are your predictions?
