    Default Coastal Kayak Trip

Well its time I start thinking about another trip to the coast for some kayak fishing.

I have narrowed it down to either Gulf Shores or Savannah area ( give or take an hour )

Timing ... between now and early summer, target redfish primarily, but would consider other options.

Need some advice on someplace kayak friendly with either cabins or camping and a bait shop near by.

    Please advise.

I'm right outside Pensacola and fish the inshore area here - I would suggest visiting the Pensacola Fishing Forum. There is a Kayak and inshore area with recent reports, Pretty sure you will get some good advise from the Gulf Shores area.

Bull reds have been more plentiful in Pensacola bay than ever. I went about six times and caught about ten between 30" and 40". Slot is between 18 and 27 so back they all went. Got kinda old as I love eating them more than catching them. I looked in the PFF and didn't see much from gulf shores area. If you get over towards pcola try the 3 mile bridge area. Been unbelievable there for about six months
