    Default Trolling Rods

I will be purchasing trolling rods to use for pulling crankbaits and for spider rigging.

What are the most popular trolling rods? Is there a specific rod that works well for all techniques? And what are the most popular reels?

I am considering the PST 163N rod and the Okuma StrataMaster SM20D reel.

    Thanks for the help.

For cranks I prefer he Ozarks over the PSTs, the Okuma 20s will do fine

PST's will work great, have not had any problems with them. I use the Okuma 15's but several people prefer the 20's.

The PST's are hard to beat for crank bait pulling.

The PST's will work fine. I have heard the Ozarks are great rods also. We are still using the WM Tightline Specials with Okuma 15's.
