Love me some striper steaks. Back when I fished lake wateree in sc you could count on the occasional 8 to 10 lb striper. Sometimes we would see a school of them and troll thru them with our crappie poles and have a blast.

Anyway, don't catch many while crappie fishing on Logan Martin and usually they are small when you do. Have seen people on here talking about all the striper in Weiss and was wondering if you guys catch a lot of striper while crappie fishing and are they big enough to cut into steaks.

If so where would be the best place to troll for crappie in hopes that the striper would be in the area this time of year. And where would a launch a boat to get to this location. Keep in mind I have never been there. I know back in sc. Dec thru feb was best time for this because the stripers were in big schools chasing shad. Could usually find them by looking for diving sea gulls. Any info would be appreciated.
