what size line do yall use in the clear water. im in mississippi in the muddier waters at arkabutla and sardis(not as much). i use ten lb test on my trolling rigs.

Mississippi I use 15/4 red braid on mine. Use 12lb Pline CXX green to tie my Riggs. Seem to get just as many bites as I did on 8 or 10 mono. Tried floro and didn't seem any better and also seemed to break off more. I fish Butla, Sardis and Enid.

When vertical fishing or longline trolling I use 6#. When pulling cranks I still stay with the 10#. And I still use all Hi-Vis. Has worked OK for me on Gville.

Thx for the replies. I live in horn lake Mississippi but my son lives in Huntsville. Gonna bring my boat here and fish guntersville with him sometime. I use ten lb hivis and tie a cLear 10 lb leader. Sounds like I don't need to change anything.

I use #6, high visibility. I'm sure that fish spook sometimes, but I've never had an issue getting a limit and it helps me see the lite bites.
