    Default Neely henry report

The wife and I finally got to get back on Neely Henry today and had a very pleasant day. The weather was very nice and the fish were in a feeding mood. We also got to see a huge bald eagle, what a thrill. We caught 42 and lost probably half that many more. We found the water temp at 79 and it did not go up at all while we were there. We caught them early feeding on shad as shallow as 3-4 feet and as the sun got higher we kept going deeper to keep up with them and ended up catching some at 14-15 feet. Caught them on minnows and several different color jigs tipped with minnows. It's just going to get better as this weather cools off. Hope to get to go again soon.

    RogerA,

Good report. It's amazing how quick a little cool weather will put them chasing bait in the shallows!! I can't wait for the water temps to get into the low 70's and upper 60's!

Went out this morning and caught them under docks. Using chartreuse jigs. Same deal as always. Old docks, in the shade, near deeper water. No need to wait any longer. Go get 'em.
