cold front conditions
Let me open up a can of worms and start a debate. What is better, fishing on an approaching front? ( if so then how many days - hours prior) Or an exiting front? (if so then how mant days- hours after). I will be fishing tomorrow on the back side of the front rolling thru Alabama today. Me and my 4 year old daughter will be going in the morning. I'm thinking on trying a little long line trolling early then spider rig some brush later in the morning. I'm open to suggestions if you know whats hot on the warrior river right now. I'll be near G's landing (lost creek). Thanks in advance, superfly.

The best time is when you can go fishing!
Next I would say prior to or during the fron passingt. I thing the best days for size and numbers has always been when the wind is blowing sideways, cloudy and raining. If the water is near freezing and you feel like your going into hypothermia thats a plus. My worst are after with clear Bluebird skys and the sun shining.
Even with clear sunny conditions you can catch them, seems there buried in the brush and deeper though. I love hitting a bank in the summer that the wind has blow into all night. I've found Crappie, bass, catfish, gill, stripe, everything stacked up in three foot or less of water and slamming the shad.
