I wish I could help as well. I've been wanting to do the same on Wheeler but have never got a response on here from anyone who night fishes Wheeler. I've tried Second Creek on Wheeler and Shoals Creek on Wilson and didn't have any luck. Maybe someone on here will respond and help us both out.

I've never done any night fishing on the river. I have had decent luck on Cedar creek at night though.

We have had some luck fishing spring creek at night. This is really the only area we have tried. Should be able to find some other areas off the river channel when the current is not too strong.

When I say off the river channel, I mean on the edge of the channel. The crappie do not stop eating in the summer, they just eat at different places than in the spring. Just go where the food is! Good Luck!
