New member and Madison County Lake questions
Hi guys. Originally from Geneva, AL, learned crappie fishing in Auburn while in school and now have landed in Madison, AL. I am looking to continue my new favorite fishing up here at the local madison county lake. Anybody fish there that can offer me some advice? Also, threw in some pics from last season!
FYI- I am not joining just to get some quick advice and leave. I have been on many forums for a while and just learned of this one. I am annoyed by people who pop in for a quick answer and leave. I am here to stay, meet some local fisherman, and hopefully learn more about crappie

War Eagle! Any more particular advice on the lake. I have looked at the topo map before. I am guessing back around the spillway would be good. I don't know where any of the brush piles are.

Sorry MePreach, my weakness too! I just ate quite a bit last weekend that my dad caught on the Choctawhatchee river back home!

Haven't fished there this year, but last year they had the brush piles marked. If you have a boat, fish the ones on the east side, less pressure.
Over by the spillway is an old wooden structure. There is also a pier by the ramp.

By the way, I lived in Winfield a couple of years ago. Visited your fine hometown. I can't say that I'm sorry that we won that ball game, but you guys played a hell of a game.

Go straight across from where you put in or boat ramp to the shoreline and work to the left.

Stymie: i haven't kept up with the football there in years. When I was in high school there (1999-2002) we were awesome. Since then it has flopped with maybe a year or two being decent. Glad you got to experience good 'ol Geneva though!
