usafret99 - I was trolling a 1/16 at .7mph, I figure I was fishing 10-12 ft deep. The shad were showing at 10-15 ft so I think the crappie were below that and coming up to hit. Like GCD says I'm thinking I will go to 1/8 or maybe 1/4 as they get deeper. I'm new to this so I really don't know wht it shouldn't work. I will have to get rigged up to try the crankbaits maybe by next summer.
