I just purchased two Automatic (CO2)/Manual Life Vest from The Bass Pro Shop $130 each. I have never had any of these as they look like they will be comfortable. Has Anyone had any experence with them? I hope I never need them but hope they work if I do.....Any input would be appreciated.

I have used one for several years now and really like it. I have now bought one for my wife/fishing partner and she also likes it.

I would recommend getting a huge ziplock or dry bag to store them in. Water will find them somehow and when you go to grab one it will have already been inflated. Keep a couple spare CO2 cartridges in the boat in case you need them.

ok I have used mine several times now and after you have it on a few minutes you forget you have it on. good investment. I read that it will have to be under water a few inches to deploy, works on the water pressure not just getting wet. but in reality there is no way to know if it will work when you need it. the indicator light shows it is armed but if you test it out then you start all over for about another 15-20$ and you are not 100% sure it will repeat. my biggest concern is I drop in or fall getting in or out of the kayak in 6" and its spent.
IT WORKS!!! Let's just say it worked like an airbag in a car when I needed it. Wouldn't be without it. The recharge unit was $25. Don't even know it's on after wearing it a few times.
