To go catch fish, that is. Had to try. Never found a Crappie but a couple of 5” gills played along. Saw fish I’ve never been able see on past units so that was big. In years past I’ve thrown small spinnerbaits along the bank and found some really good fish, but not today. I caught 8 or 9 fish today, mostly small bass but a couple of em were noteworthy. Air temps got near 70 today but I didn’t want to be out in the shade without a good hoodie. No boat issues, also a plus. Fished about 5 hours and traffic was low. Looking forward to next months full moon, maybe I can hit it 2 or 3 times close together and the planets will align for me. Here’s the pics, Y’all stay safe and go catch some fish. Ya gotta do better than I did.

Those are some fun size bass .
    I’ll take those any day.
The ones I’ve caught lately have got me thinking I might be targeting the wrong species and maybe it’s the bass I should be going after .
Lot of fun on a little rod .

Nice looking bass, certainly worth getting out and getting in on the action. It's going to get better soon. Hope you find some slabs soon.

I use a 1/8th ounce Satilla Spin for numbers of small bass and large bream. Most of the time a chartreuse color, or a crawdad color or a solid white.

These I used were made by Strike king I believe and I started with a kinda bluegill color combo and switched to white with a chartreuse tipped white curl tail. Next time out I’m going to to try black and then a minnow body. Might be the ticket with all the shad around.
