Thread: Redbuds, dogwoods , plums and daffodils are doing it

    Default Redbuds, dogwoods , plums and daffodils are doing it


    And so were this fish on the northeast Bank of a small lake.....
    It approached full on stupid for sure ..
    Liked a tiny jig in black and chart about 3 foot under a float ...
    Slowly dragging it and NO twitching allowed
    I think every species in the lake got involved....
    Close to legendary type action
    Got my 8 lb test broke a few times
    And we kept 1 catfish for my bud
    All the rest got let go
    KABOOM is near

    When my father was a guide on Toledo 35-40 years ago he used the blooming of the Dogwood trees to switch to shallow water fishing. I catch so many fish deep, off the bank I rarely beat the banks anymore. Thanks for posting.

    Same way up here…..If the dogwoods are blooming the crappie are busy, 6 to 8 weeks off yet…
