Very cool. Sounds enjoyable. Today was a hot one!

Dropped the wife off at the hairdresser and took off headed to the lake for a quick trip .
The outside temperature was 95 according to my dashboard.
I needed some shade to fish , but didn’t have much time .
Then I remembered the creek below the dam . A creek with trees lining both sides .
Problem was I had to park a top of a paved road , with a 1/4 mile of downhill to walk and uphill back .
Once at the creek , it was shaded , but no breeze at all. Still it was cooler than fishing at the lake in direct sun .
My first cast produced a nice creek size redbreast .
I ended up with 16 gills and redbreast and one small bass in about twenty minutes of fishing .
I was using a 4mm size 14 , olive micro jig on a 5’ Major Craft Ajing rod paired with a Soare bb500spg reel and 2# Ande Tournament line .
Love creek fishing .

Nice catch . Heat will definitely get me in the shade. going to pickwick tomorrow and will be on the shady side of the river and gone when there is no longer shade .
Pretty redbreast. They fight bigger than they are. Not as many here compared to where I was.

Great colors on those creek fish, big time fun on the ultralight gear. I think I would melt fishing in 95 degree temps in the sun. Was fishing in the sun last trip and catching gills almost every cast but after 15 minutes had to leave because of the heat. Needed an extra bottle of water.

Nice way to spend a little time. I agree with the previous post on the colors.
