Just picked up a TCB rod and it's already my favorite rod. Can't imagine a better rod for $60. In many ways better than my Daiwa Presso 6-6.

Those have always been a great rod. Highly recommended from many members here. Congrats on the new rod.

The TCB is my "all rounder", and I'll almost always have it in the selection I take on my yak. It's the beefiest of the ULs in my stable, yet still sensitive enough to be fun. Mine is paired with a Legalis LT2000X-S and 4lb X-Braid.

I prefer a very thin and sensitive XUL for panfishing, but the TCB is a great compromise if I feel there could be larger fish in the mix. Plus it gets better casting distance than the shorter XULs...although that could also partially be due to the larger spool diameter on a size 2000 reel.

Anyways, excellent quality and great fun at the right price!

I happened to win a TCB rod here on Crappie.com a couple years back. Great rod. It always goes with me when I hit the water.

I have two of the originals and wouldn’t mind having the BnM version too…..lol. My favorite casting rod.

I have a TSS and have it paired with a Daiwa Regal 1000s and six pound Varivas braid. With all of my sul rods and ul rods, I use this one when I get into areas where the big folks live. I’ve caught LMB on it up to five lbs and with the micro wave guides and quality braid I have to make a few casts to open water to refresh myself to its casting abilities. It’ll cast a 1/16 a very long way. Even with the 1/32 I use for American and hickory Shad the casting is very good. Sensitivity is also good for when I drag a little BG bug along the bottom, I can feel everything. If I didn’t have too many rods now I would have another.
