I have a few of the Shimano Sidestabs which also have the rear drag. I actually prefer the rear drag over the front drags.

I'd look for a reputable reel repair business & ask them. They might just need cleaning & fresh lube, but the clicking noise could be caused by a couple of things (like a damaged anti-reverse, debris in the gears, or worn/damaged drag).

According to Google AI .... There are several places that offer fishing reel cleaning and repair services near Oglethorpe, Georgia, including Nutter Rod & Reel Service, River Rats Reel Repair, and Let's Go Fishing Reel Repair.

I really like Diawa Regals, after trying one i bought 2 more, there smooth as silk, good drag and smaller then most. But if I'm vertical jigging shallow water a sidewinder is fine.

I've sent several of my Shimanos to Reel Ex and they did a fantastic job with a fast turnaround. Definitely a quality service.
