I just got several of these exact reels at an antique mall for pennies on the dollar....can you send them back for rebuild? A couple of them are making noises when you reel them unless that is normal? I ended up with 5 of them total, 2 of them are making that clicking noise when reeling.
I'd look for a reputable reel repair business & ask them. They might just need cleaning & fresh lube, but the clicking noise could be caused by a couple of things (like a damaged anti-reverse, debris in the gears, or worn/damaged drag).
According to Google AI .... There are several places that offer fishing reel cleaning and repair services near Oglethorpe, Georgia, including Nutter Rod & Reel Service, River Rats Reel Repair, and Let's Go Fishing Reel Repair.

I really like Diawa Regals, after trying one i bought 2 more, there smooth as silk, good drag and smaller then most. But if I'm vertical jigging shallow water a sidewinder is fine.
