    Default New to injecting jigs

Just ordered me a new epic mold for crappie jigs, it’s a 24 capacity mold, what size dual injector do I need.

What kind of plastsol do I need, I do not want a soft jig, rather have a firm jig, and what colors do I need and glitter. Where can I order all this stuff.

The 4 ounce or a little bigger would be just fine for that mold.

Are you just going to fish or make plastics for Croppie? I suggest a medium plastic to get good action particularly on that mold you are buying you can go super soft but it usually too soft and they do have a salt water or a harder one that you can pick also, I use bait plastic for all of my plastics. There are many different companies that make it, but I prefer them just type in bait plastic and go to their website. I buy all my plastic set 5 gallons buckets. You could buy it by the gallon individually if you like Also you can go to MF or many of the other companies online that sell it but like I said, I prefer bait plastic.

Good advice can't go wrong with bait plastics....i use 292 medium hard plastisol and the stuff is awesome makes for a very durable bait that still has plenty of action.

For most crappie baits i use bait plastics saltwater hard since i'm fishing them exposed hook & it helps them to stay on the hook better meaning you use less baits. Swimbait's for crappie i'd mix medium & hard at a 50-50 ratio. My bass baits are all made with medium except for tubes & i do the 50-50 mix on them.

I will have to get me a gallon of salt water and mix it 50-50 with the medium. Sounds like it could be a good one toughen it up a lot. Do you use that mixture for tubes?
