I use more hair so I catch more with hair, but I think it just depends on what you prefer to use.

If I had to choose between the two I'd go feather because I love tying and using duck feather jigs. But bunny hair jigs are great as well and can't leave the house without some in my bag. Have too many jigs that work making it hard to decide what to use first.

I’m the opposite! Have tried and tried hair jigs and have caught fish with them but I am a plastic’s guy ( I guess it’s a confidence thing) ! But that where my confidence lies!
just seams to work much better for me !

I use all three hackle, synthetic and hair and none catch more than the other. It’s about presentation and getting it in front of the crappie. End of the day, use whatever you have the most confidence in. I hardly use plastic anymore which is complete opposite of how I fished pre-livescope.

My self I use all three materials fishing in making up stuff, feathers hair and also plastic. as far as which one catches more fish, it depends on whatever they are hitting some days they want very little action which their hair has just a vibrating up to trigger them other days they want more action so I use plastic. Maribou has a lot of action in it and I use quite a bit of that. Just depends on the fish. Also, I use a lot of hackle..

I love tying feathers but hair jigs are much more durable and if I'm just meat fishing give me some bluegrass plastic. I will say some of my best catches have been with feathers.
