Haha!! That's the last thing I need. I already have hundreds of dollars worth of lures sitting around

First let me say I know nothing about tying jigs. But I have used a lot of tube jigs. One way is to use the jig/hook that slips in the tube and the hook eye sticks through. You install them into the tube. Why not tie some mariboo on those, then slip the tube over it.

Thats exactly what I was thinking, just tie the feathers on the hookshank and slide the tube on, then dunk every 10 or so casts in a water soluble attracrant. I've been looking at trying the Powerbait Crappie attractant for the marabous

Don't forget we sell slab sauce in the store at the top of the page.

EXACTLY !! And it's an oil based scent, so it should last a bit longer than a water based scent. In fact, Slab uses it when he's fishing with the Bunny Butts Crappie jigs from PICO. Bunny Butts are made with rabbit hair tails (hence the name).

I'd try the slab sauce but it's going for $27 on Amazon

You can buy it right off the site. The store is temporarily closed but I’m sure Slab will reopen it again soon.

That's for FOUR bottles. (but, yeah ... it's still more expensive than from the site store, even with free shipping)

I'd wait for Slab to reopen the site Store to purchase Slab Sauce ... or simply PM Slab and check with him about the availability, pricing, etc. Slab Sauce comes in a 1oz spray bottle, 2oz dropper bottle, and a felt tip pen dispensor. And it comes in Original scent & "G" Sauce (garlic) scent.

Pico lures also sells the slab sauce, but I think Slab has the best price...I'm sure he'll have the store open in a couple days. However like CP says, you can send Slab a PM and he'll get back to you pretty quick.
