    Were u catching around piers and rafts?

    Does this old river lock out? Is there a dam that holds it at a certain level when the river drops out like it has here around Vidalia.

    It's not locked out. The Mississippi River is connected. 16' at mississippi river gage @Baton Rouge is the standard.

    Thanks JR, ours here locks out around 12' on our gage and it's at 9' now, so we are land locked til a rise comes. Just wondering would it be worth take a ride down the lever to feesh
