Got out yesterday. Sky was yellow and storms were a possibility, but...I went anyway. Practically no wind. Went up beyond Mecca to find trees in 8-10fow. Got one on the deck by 8:08am. So many just follows and short strikes like they were just grabbing the tail. So frustrating. Rain came and I thought about suiting up but then saw lightning and heard thunder so...threw the fish back and headed in. I had a conference call at 10:30am anyway. Was just gonna do it from the boat, but...not in a storm!
Today went back out....same place. This time I brought minnows. Again...not much wind. Clear and getting warmer. It was a MUCH more productive day. Ended up with 9...all eaters. Nothing huge. But no weeding through shorts, either. I think the live bait did the trick. The fish weren't so "curious" about the black and chartreuse jig I was using yesterday, and were more committed today with live meat on the hook. A few short strikes where they robbed me of my minnow. And lost one at the surface, but...all in all...MUCH more fun. Loving the livescope and starting to get the hang of it. (At least on calm days!) Getting better at differentiating "fish" from "fish you actually want to target"!!

Always did like live bait better. I also like bobbers, I have trouble seeing the line twitch.

It could be a booger to get the hang of that live scope stay with it time on the water will pay off.
