Thread: Pawpaw “gene” has gotten new shirts

Received my shirts and they are beautiful. Thanks Slab for the extras that you included in the box. Linda was surprised and happy when she opened it.

My dear friends I’ve been gone from the site for some time but I do read all of the Louisiana posts and the main page. I’ve been too sick to write anything but greatly enjoy everyone’s posts. I have finally made some progress in my health and hoping and planning to make a comeback. It’s been a year in June that I was sickened with Myasthenia Gravis an autoimmune disease that nearly took my life. I’m not totally out the woods yet but pray daily for a return to fishing. Speaking of prayer, I want to thank everyone for the prayers and encouragement. Without them I wouldn’t be here

Meanwhile while I was totally laid up so was my boat. It looks like a disaster. With the help of a friend, mostly him, we pulled the carpet off the deck and are in the process of removing the remaining glue. I’m thinking of going back with Eva foam like Seadeck. Then I need to compound and polish the hull which is very oxidized. Hoping to have it ready for some fall fishing when with Gods blessing I will be much stronger.

Linda and I really missed not being able to go to the gatherings over the past year. What we really missed was meeting up with old friends and making new ones. With Gods help and your continued prayers we hope that will change.
