My understanding of current battery technology isn’t near as green as stated. Yes they are low emission. But what do you do with them when they won’t hold a charge anymore? Are they recyclable? I’m told no. And certain toxic components of them are coming from third world countries where folks gather the stuff barehanded, exposing themselves to health risks to earn a dollar, sometimes kids. We have a lot more to do before I’ll jump on that wagon.

here in Texas we won't be trying the new technology on marine engines, kuz, IF IT DONT RAIN SOON there wont be enough water left to put a boat in the lake , heard tell the closed lake waco, belton and stillhouse last week to boats and even the beaches on some of them too.
there is an upside though , fish in a barrel .....

    Agreed, has my interest.
It is not what you do for your children, but what you have taught them to do for themselves, that will make them successful human beings.

I think this is the start. I can see them harnessing the wind and sun while out to help charge the batteries or power supply. Who knows what the future holds but I think fossil fuels will be phased out.
