Depending on water depth, 1/4 shallower, 1/8 deeper that 15 ft. Crimp on shots that I have, have those wings on them. The tend to make your bait twist. Eggs cut thru the water smoothly. Guys are starting to use the eggs while livescoping. Helps see their bait better.Originally Posted by Zeke

Been so long since I’ve used them, I don’t remember. I’ll add a shot on my line only if I’m casting and they won’t hit the heavier jigs and I have to downsize in deeper water.
