    When do crappie spawn is like asking What do women want? LOL it's a deep philisophical question with many many possible answers but really more questions.

    BTW females don't stay on nests, males go in and make them and the females just make brief visits to drop their eggs then head back out to holding pattern BAA's.

    It's like when I asked the OB resident while waiting for our first born to come and he looked at me with tired eyes and said "baby come when he come". Just keep going out and testing the waters with your long pole and jig sweeping back and forth or toss that bobber and short line out and hunt for them, cllose in then deeper out. then Crappie come when they come.

    Go to the northeast corner of your pond and fish there first. If there’s wood on the bottom that will help. Jig and bobber.

    any rocky or gravel areas are worth a peek or 3 too ....
    and never forget a lonely low traffic boat ramp
    some of our small private lakes have little boat ramps and .....
    concrete has a tendency to draw them to it
    sum kawl me tha outlaw ketchn whales
