There have been a couple or so, years ago, that thought they knew more than the rest of us here. Glad that they are gone, and the rest of us respect each other enough to listen to others approach and techniques. No pro here, and don't have the high end electronics, just a $100.00 fish finder. It serves the purpose for me and not out there to catch a limit, just to enjoy the time spent in God's creation.
I have fished all my life mainly ponds and creeks and the last 5-years for crappie on few lakes after buying my first aluminum boat for $4,900.00 and was uptown in my opinion now able to fish lakes, joined cc in 2019 and it's remarkable the knowledge I have gained from the good folks on this site and it don't have to be the latest technology, just plain and simple knowing what to look for and why, even with a cheap finder. See some of these same folks at the boat ramps and cleaning stations and they are always willing to share knowledge anywhere and anytime including MRD at the ramp and cleaning station at Sportsmans. Anyway, even though I am still a rookie and always will be, it is amazing what I'm asked about crappie fishing from my buddies when we get together due to I usually catch some fish. I try to live right even though it's hard sometimes, and believe in giving even though it hurts sometimes. Would rather the person fishing with me catch a fish than me, watching them light up and then get a little cocky, well that's more fun than me catching. I have never been a facebooker or belonged to any other social media site and NEVER will ..... "Drama to the max". Just wanted to express my sincere gratitude to all the good cc members and folks behind the scenes for this enjoyable and above all, clean fishing forum site!
