That’s a tough deal for sure. Glad y’all are safe. Boat can be fixed or replaced.

Thanks fellows, no new boat in the works. Estimate is $1000 even. Sounds like a number just grabbed out the air. I have insurance and they are on the case. Should have it worked out tomorrow. Already emptied it and ready to bring it in for the patch. As far as pulling the plug, you got to go in head first to reach mine when it is in the water. I thought about it, but figured the boat would sink while trying. Was in 5 ft when it happened.

Glad to hear you made it back OK. I saw where an 80 year old man drowned on the Atoyac River, not real far from Toledo Bend. Seems he and his brother somehow had their boat capsize. One made it, one didn't.
    As D said, be careful.

Glad you guys fared better than many would have in that situation. Our toys can be fixed. Our butts take longer.

It's not the numbers or the size, it's the time spent on the water!

I thank the good Lord, he brought you home safe.
That repair bill does seem odd.

Glad every thing turned out ok and sounds like you handled it well as possible. My thoughts in a last ditch effort beach it and save the tm and electronics and prevent a cold water entry.
