Appreciate the welcomes. Been a few years since I was able to drop a line, quite a few actually but it's time. I live 20 minutes away from Cherokee Lake and look forward to getting in the water. Here's my dilemma, most of my experience was brook and river fishing for trout then salt water during a thirty year stay in Florida. Use to fish for bass, pumpkinseed, and perch in my Pa's pond but being out of it for so long wondered what is best bait (please limit to your favorite 1st hundred or so) and type of rigs y'all are using for crappie? I caught a crappie tournament on tv several weeks ago and for the most part, it looked like fixed rods with a down line in the water.
