Think about us work bound fellow fishermen while your preparing those pearly white fillets for your fish fry today... I hate fighting the wind as well, but I will say I should have invested in my Ulterra sooner than I did. I know they are expensive, but man what a difference when you don't have to fight the TM to fish in windy conditions.
'Jesus answered and said to them, “Go and tell John the things which you hear and see:
The blind see and the lame walk; lepers are cleansed and deaf hear; dead are raised up and poor have the gospel preached to them.
And blessed is he who is not offended because of Me... Matthew 11:4-6

I’m in the market for a trolling motor as we speak. Trying to decide what will best meet my needs.
I can do all things through Christ, who strengthens me.

Looks like a great trip. Congrats.

Regarding the trolling motor, auto pilot and/or 2nd Gen spot lock makes wind (as long as you're headed into it) and current (as long as you're headed into it) a non issue while fishing. One day this week, I fished in very heavy current at the head of a creek for 3 hours while white bass fishing. I'd get in position, hit spot lock and lay my remote on the deck of my boat just so it wouldn't be hanging around my neck. The 4 or 5 times I moved to a different spot, I had to turn my remote back on because the auto off feature had turned it off because I didn't have to touch it. The newer electronics are great but if I had to choose between selling my electronics or my trolling motor, I'd fish with no electronics. I have an Ulterra because I love the stow/deploy function.

Very nice fish! That looked like a lot of fun! I am hoping I can make it out before they are done!
