    Default Another Chick Report... 3/10/19

It was a beautiful day that's for sure. Winds were light, water 49. Water in the bays was less muddy than the creek and main channel. I started fishing/scanning the drop to shore area, and several yards back, around points in a spawning bay made several casts and no results. Found lots of shad just no fish to speak of. Moved and checked other locations I thought may hold fish, nothing. My thinking was that they may be holding on the first drop off of spawning areas. Or so I thought. I did manage about 3 shorts and a green carp off a brush pile in about 14' of water close to the channel edge. Fish fell victim to Bone Head tackle Stump Bug, Paradise, 24th lite wire head. No pics, just a fishtale.
'Jesus answered and said to them, “Go and tell John the things which you hear and see:
The blind see and the lame walk; lepers are cleansed and deaf hear; dead are raised up and poor have the gospel preached to them.
And blessed is he who is not offended because of Me... Matthew 11:4-6

Glad you at least got out! I haven’t been on the lake in weeks. I’m hearing a lot of chatter about the Stumpbugs. Are they really that much different/better than the millions of other plastics that I already own?

ET, if you have a slapslanger in cajun cricket and split the tail you will be very similar in shape and possibly action. That is what the color is similar to in BG.

Thanks for the info. Since I wrote this, I went to the Bonehead website and placed an order. This weather is making me spend and eat! I’ll be a fat, broke man if I don’t get back on the water!
