Default Ties vs O'l Blue Tubes & Having fun

Seems nostalgia had gotten the best of me reviewing some of the O'l
Blue & White tubes back in the day I used and at times still do for curiosity

Got back into tying awhile back decided to see if I could replicate O'l Blue
Outcome from the pic seemed pretty close to what I was going for
So gave them a try in our lake to see if they would work
Low an behold did they ever

Not to discredit the tubes for they still do work (each to his own)

    Summing it up
There is no such thing as tying a bad fly it's the fun of catching fish on it

I tie mine to the same color pattern as my plastic jigs.

That’s a good color combo, they’ll work good. That minnow head, gray chenille, with a maribou and flash tail is another winner for me. While you’re at it.......
