Tackleboat, sounds like we use a lot of the same techniques. And I agree it is amazing how many bites come holding it still or "dead sticking it" as we call it. But I do find i interesing that the rattle spoons have been working that well for you. I need to give them another chance. I ordered some like you are using. Thanks!

I have used the same spoon, both 1/4 oz. Kastmaster, one with a rattle side by side , one rod in each hand and used the same jigging technique and the rattle would catch 4 to 1. I can’t fish one without a rattle with confidence anymore.

I just loaded up on non rattling spoons.
Maybe put a rattle near it?

I'm having a hard time even finding these! Where can they be purchased (online or chain) and how much are you paying?

    Thanks!

I bought some online from FISH USA. I think they were 4.29 each.

I ordered direct from Acme ( I feel a little bit like Wylie Coyote typing that).

Don't forget to add some hooks above your spoon tipped with red wigglers. Gets those fish that may be lockjawed when it comes to eating your spoon!
Commercial worm farmer, but presently sold out until further notice.
